Don't be a Grinch! Help me stop the Grinch!!

During this time year it can be a challenge NOT to be a Grinch. Believe me, I know...

So, here is a little Christmas cheer.  Please stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas or, in this case, from stealing the ACSDTECH website.

As I stop and reflect on the tech changes from last year, I recall working hard updating the ACSDTECH website last December. Unfortunately this December, time did not allow me to do so as my family has been my top priority. I did, however, keep my New Year’s Resolutions from last year.   

My resolutions last year were to post once a month on ACSDBLOG  (during the school year), and to do a better job updating the ACSDTECH website throughout the year. I wanted to send a friendly reminder that both the ACSDBLOG and ACSDTECH website are valuable resources. Enjoy the following activity!

Bag of Tricks.....

Recently, I have had the opportunity to learn many NEW things.  I have been challenged by many of you.  In doing so, I have come across many things that I have not played with for a while like “Google Templates” or new tools like “Youtube for Kids”.  So, now I want to share my “Bag of Tricks” with you.

Google Templates

You can use Google’s template gallery to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, or forms. You can use it for just about anything so there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Google has released a new YouTube app.  It is kid friendly and safe for young and creative minds.

Set up your Default Email Client in Chrome and Firefox

Question/Comment to the Tech Dept:  I wish when I clicked on an email on a webpage it WOULDN’T open my Entourage or Mail applications. Why won’t it open my gmail in my DEFAULT browser?

Just needed done...NOW!! -- Updated #ACSDTECH Website

We all have those moments when enough is enough and we have to force ourselves to stop what we are currently doing in order to get something else done that has been driving us crazy!! You know what I am talking about it.  It might be your messy desk or classroom, your kid's closet, or the kitchen utensil drawer.  For me, it was the Technology Resource and Tutorials Website.  It just needed some tender loving care and a slight makeover.

Here are some of the highlights:

New Name --  What used to be the Technology Resource and Tutorials website is now called the #ACSDTECH website.  

Navigation --  Navigation is now on the left sidebar with sub menus.

Updated Links -- Many updated links throughout the website.  

More pictures -- Added more pictures to give it a fresh new paint job!
